1. You probably know that you’re a mammal.

2. Mammals have backbones and are called vertebrates.

3. Cats and dogs are mammals. So are farm animals such as cows, pigs, and horses.

4. Nearly all mammals give birth to live babies, which are then fed on their mother’s milk.

5. All mammals have fur or hair.
