SAY 和 TELL 非常相似，它們同樣被用於 ”講述” 但是有什麽分別呢？
最大的分別在於TELL一般包括”聽者”。SAY一般不包括”聽者”，只包括所説的内容。
SAY (Say/Said/Said)
• Doesn’t include listener 不包括聽者
(me, you, him, her, us, them …)
- I said hello to our new neighbours.
- She said something on the phone, but I couldn’t understand her.
• Use to “quote” a speaker directly 直接引用講話人的話
- say yes
- say no
- say sorry
- say hello
- say goodbye
- say please
- say thank you
TELL (Tell/Told/Told)
• Usually include listener 一般包括聽者
(me, you, him, her, us, them …)
- His doctor told him to get more exercise.
- I told her I lost her camera on my trip.
• Use to report what someone said 用來報告某人所説的話
- tell a story
- tell a lie
- tell the truth
- tell a joke
- tell a secret
- tell (someone) to do something
