Today we are talking about the Stone Age. 今天我們來談關於石器時代。 What is the Stone Age? 什麽是石器時代？ The Stone Age is a period in prehistory during which early humans started using stones, to make tools and weapons. 石器時代是早期人類開始在史前時期使用石頭製造工具和武器。 How long did the Stone Age last? 石器時代持續了多久？ The Stone Age began around 2.5 million years ago and lasted until around 2300 BC. 石器時代開始於大約 250 萬年前，一直持續到公元前 2300 年左右。 The Stone Age is split into three different periods: 石器時代分為三個不同的時期： • The Palaeolithic period (early Stone Age) 舊石器時代 （石器時代早期） • The Mesolithic period (middle Stone Age) 中石器時代 （石器時代中期） • The Neolithic period (late Stone Age) 新石器時代 （石器時代晚期） There were 2 main types of humans in the Stone Age. 石器時代兩大主要的人類。 • Neanderthals and Homo sapiens (That’s us) 尼安德塔人和智人（就是我們） Modern man Homo sapiens, emerged around 200,000 years ago. 現代智人，大約在 20 萬年前出現。 In the early stone age, humans lived in caves. 在早期的石器時代，人類生活在洞穴中。 The two things humans had to do was to look for food and protect themselves from wild animals but they began to do other things like cave painting. 人類必須做的兩件事就是尋找食物和保護自己免受野生動物的侵害，但他們也開始做其他事情，例如洞穴繪畫。 Humans learnt to farm during the Stone Age. 人類在石器時代學會了耕種。 Humans used animal skins to keep them warm. 人類用獸皮來保暖。 Some of the animals that lived in the Stone Age are now extinct. 一些生活在石器時代的動物現在已經滅絕。 Dogs became domesticated in the Stone Age. 狗在石器時代被馴化了。
