Future 未來 |
1. Hope + present tense 現在式 She hope he passes the test. 她希望他能通過考試。
*2. Hope + will + base verb 基礎動詞 I hope you will be my roommate next year. (I hope you are my roommate next year.) 我希望明年你能成爲我的室友。 (兩個寫法都可以)
*Note: Because “hope” already indicates a future meaning, it is usually followed by a present verb, but “will” is possible for future emphasis.) * 注意: 因爲”hope”已經有表示未來的意思，它通常後面跟著一個現在式動詞，但是”will”可以用來强調”將來”的可能性。 |
1. wish + would + base verb 動詞原型 I wish she would tell me her secret. 我希望她能告訴我她的秘密。(她不太可能告訴我她的秘密)
2. wish + were going to + base verb動詞原型 I wish you were going to graduate with the rest of your class tomorrow. 我希望你明天能和班上的其他同學一起畢業。(你不太可能能和班上同學一起明天畢業)

1. hope + past tense 過去式 I hope he went to the meeting yesterday. 我希望他昨天去開會了。
*Note: We don’t often use “hope” to talk about something in the past, but it is possible if we don’t know what happened with a past situation. * 注意: 我們不經常用”hope”來談論過去發生的事情，但是如果我們不知道過去的情況， 也可用。 |
1. wish + had + p.p. 過去分詞 I wish I had passed the test. 我希望我通過了考試。(考試沒有通過)
*Note - In very informal speaking 在非正式的談話也可以這樣造句: I wish I would have passed the test.
